Wisdom Teeth Pain - What Should I Do?

September 14th, 2007 · No Comments

Question:

Hi there .. thank you for your time… I am asking a quick question about my wisdom teeth … i have 3 and am in continuous pain with them, my top right wisdom tooth i think is growing into my cheek, and now i can not open my mouth with out being in complete agony, i can not get registered with a dentist anywhere i live, so am at my wits end as i can not continue with the pain for much longer … what would you suggest i can try/… as pain killers and ibruprofen are not working.

Answer:

Hello,

My suggestion would be to seek treatment on this matter  asap as infection  could arise at some point (not to mention that the pain could increase as well).  Oral surgeons are the best equipped to handle this and I could give you a referral to one (depending on where you live) who may be in your plan or refer you to them as an “emergency” that, if you should have an HMO plan, would get you in to see them quickly before your pain worsens.
